You probably also know that I frequently shop at Joann Fabric and Craft, since it is the craft store closest to me. When I go into the store to pick some up for myself, I generally spend around $2.50 on each skein. The #6 super bulky yarns Big Twist carries look so soft and squishy! The yarn I use is from Joann’s, it’s Big Twist. It’s a cotton blend yarn consisting of 85% cotton,15%polyester. The ball includes 131 yd/120m; 2.65oz/55g.

Features Big Twist Cotton yarn in a variegated yarn color Pewter. This is a #4 medium worsted weight yarn. The Ava Blanket is a chunky blanket that’s a free pattern here on the blog. It makes a great chunky throw blanket for your living room. This chunky crochet blanket might work well in some of these bulky yarns.

With Big Twist Value, each skein I’ve used (which is a variety of colors!) have all been the same size and having the uniformity makes me feel confident when working with it. The first thing I consider when looking for a yarn is how consistent each skein is with one another. Often with yarn, I notice that if I use the yarn from the color A skein compared to the color B skein, the sizing will be slightly off and not consistent. This can make your projects look off especially when designing.
