Photo Tutorial Crochet Pattern: Simple Striped Blanket!
This is such a beautiful blanket which I have just started. I am so happy that I came across it. I have done 134 stitches, it is straight at the ends but seems to be buckling in the middle. Am I totally useless at crocheting?
The stitch that is used in this blanket is the moss stitch and it’s made using a multiple of 2. So for example, if you have one chain to short, add an additional chain to make it a multiple of 2. Continue to work along the second side of the blanket where you have the yarn tails running.
Feel free to add a border or just keep going, it’s up to you. First, with any project you’ll c2c rectangle crochet tutorial need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.

Am going to do the afghan during winter break. Just love this afghan; turned on to it by a friend at knit shop retreat last weekend. I would like to ask if there is any special rule to follow in regards to number of colors and choosing their sequence. It would seem that the sky is the limit but, I am a bit OCD when it comes to doing things the “best” way.
I would love to know how the stylecraft yarn holds up? I would love to make this blAnket, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on yarn (at the same time I don’t want it to pill either). Thank you for this beautiful pattern.
Thank you for posting this and your great explanation of all the stitches and pictures. If you count, however , you should have the same number of stitches as your very first row of the blanket. Because I was making this blanket for a guy, I went ahead and used the yarn colors Grand Canyon and Mammoth Cave that were show in the pattern. However, there are so many amazing color options to choose from. It’s also really important to look for a yarn that gives great stitch definition for this pattern. The textured stitch patterns that it uses looks at their best when the yarn shows it off.
