While the application process for both resident and non-resident candidates is the same, international students willing to study in the US have some specific admission requirements. They have to submit additional documents, visas, and other necessary materials to check their eligibility. Students who choose to apply to Spelman without test scores will not be disadvantaged in the review process. We understand that some students will still have access to standardized tests and would like for their scores to be considered. For these applicants, we will continue to accept SAT and ACT scores and review them as part of our holistic application review. The applicants will also be required to deposit an application fee of $40 along with submitting the required documents and information. The application deadline of the college depends on several factors. Fall applications, most popular among students, usually start from September and might go on till April.

If you exceed their requirements, you have an excellent chance of getting in. But if you don’t, you might be one of the unlucky minority that gets a rejection letter. Spelman is a wonderful school with many great opportunities that many do not know about. Make sure you network with your professors, your financial aid advisors/scholarship coordinators, and the career offices.
